"Landhuis"on Curacao.
These large plantationhouses where the houses of the owners of the sugarcane plantations.
There are more than 50 of these old houses on the island.
Many are still lived in by (I think) rich people and the others are in course of reconstruction, are museums or restaurants.

No plantations nowadays anymore.
